The Kindler: A Wordless God
The Kindler is the god of the Hearth. They created this entire world and personally shape each of its inhabitants.
Standing about 20 ft tall, the Kindler is vaguely humanoid, but their face and body are always obscured by the flow of thick, gradually cooling magma from their scalp. They usually turn their face downward, to concerns of the earth below and the smaller creatures that move upon it; they are a god of earth and the fires below, not the sky or heavens. No one has ever seen the Kindler's face, and most Scoria believe that any who look upon it will instantly perish. Scoria do catch occasional glimpses of the Kindler's body behind this screen of magma: dark, rocky, with molten cracks. But the most anyone generally sees of the Kindler are their hooves and hands. They have two fingers and a thumb on each hand, and their digits are pointed, without nails or claws. The Kindler never speaks, but communicates only through gestures, empathetic waves of emotion, and deep rumbling sounds. You do not need to ask for permission to draw or write about the Kindler interacting with Scoria in minor, shallow ways. However, if you wish for your character(s) to interact with the Kindler in a more in-depth or detailed way, please contact staff for an appropriate roleplay. |
